weekend review

Paul went out of town last week but got back Friday afternoon so we were happy to have him to ourselves for the weekend! Although all i have to show for it are pictures of Caitlin naked in the yard
*I promise my child does normally wear clothes but sometimes being naked is just easier. And frankly I think she prefers it anyways! She gets that from her daddy.. whenever Paul is working in the yard he usually takes his shirt off and as soon as Caitlin sees that she wants hers off too. I'll go with it while she's little and has such a cute little baby body.
Anyways...
Friday night we worked in the yard.. started our planter bed around the trees and it's coming along! We also have a low spot in the yard so Paul cut the sod and then pulled it up and put in dirt then put the sod back down. Caitlin came out to "help" and she got really into it. After a little while of Paul showing her what he was doing she was totally bossing him around, saying "this one! this one" and trying to pick up the bags of dirt. Then she would get the empty bags that she could lift and come dump them in and help Paul stomp on the dirt. It was hilarious that she was such a little boss out there. She of course got muddy after all of it.

Saturday morning we got donuts for breakfast and then i literally spent the whole day lounging. It was a hard pregnancy day for me and while i felt SO weird being so lazy, it was totally necessary. I'm so glad it was a Saturday and Paul just hung out with Caitlin all day and was so nice to just let me lay in bed.. or on the couch.. or wherever my laziness took me. That night we went to the adult session of our Stake Conference. It was an awesome session. Paul spoke at it about finding precepts in the Book of Mormon and he did a great job. The other speakers had really good messages too so it as a good night. Afterward we went to get frozen yogurt with a bunch of couples from our ward.
Sunday we had the general session of stake conference and let just say in a packed church building with tons of little kids and Caitlin going crazy... i didn't quite get as much out of it. After church we came home and tried to wind down a little after our 2 hour Caitlin-catching marathon and then Mike and Jenna came over for dinner. We had Hawaiian Haystacks and i used THIS RECIPE to make the home made chicken gravy for it and it was delicious! Definitely recommend it. After dinner we played with Caitlin, watched some shows, went to the park by the temple, and hung out. We also set up the baby's crib!
And now off we go into another busy week!
