Paul and Cortney were married July 27th, 2007 in Texas. We've known each other since we were little though. When Cortney was 6 her family lived in Austin, where the Dickson family lived. She always had THE BIGGEST crush on Paul, who of course barely knew she existed as more than his little sister's friends. Cortney's family moved away after a few years but the families kept in contact through christmas cards and occasional visits. Then Cortney's family settled back in Texas, in Dallas. Cortney graduated and went to BYU while Paul was on his mission. When he came back he came to BYU. Cortney saw him on campus one day (but was too nervous to talk to him) and from then on the search was on. Facebook, moms, friends, and other run-ins got them to talk, and then meet up, and that was it!

We think we have the best marriage ever, and we really do. We love doing anything together. We love skiing, boating, traveling, going to football games, having parties, and being with friends and family. Paul also loves hunting and playing any sport. Cortney loves shopping (probably a little too much) and designing. They both graduated from BYU: Paul in Public Relations and minor in Business Management and Cortney graduated in 2008 with a degree in Interior Design and minor in Spanish. Paul works for vivint solar, fundraising to bring solar energy acros America. Cortney has worked as an interior designer, although now she is doing her dream job as a full time mom.

Our kids are the light of our lives and the real stars of the family. They keep us laughing and loving and taking things one day at a time.

This blog was started about a year into our marriage and Cortney is the full-time author, photographer, and blogger and documenter of all things Dickson family. We love remembering our special times as our family continues to grow.
