this week

i just woke up from a nap. it was amazing. I usually never take naps during the day because i would have to take them while Caitlin is napping and therefore it cuts into my precious get-things-done time. but today i needed it. And i'm so glad i did. And now i am blogging, eating chocolate and hiding from my laundry.

So anyways, we've had a fun week so far with some things to mention but unfortunately no pictures to show for it (fail). Lorraine came into town for a few days! she actually came up to get carpal tunnel surgery on her hands and we're happy that it looks like her surgery went really well and she's on her way to recovery. Before the surgery, we got to hang out a little.
Monday we went to lunch with a few of Paul's aunts and his grandma, me and Jenna at Macaroni Grill. One of my favorite restaurants so of course it was delicious. We met at Fashion Place mall so we also popped into H&M afterwards and I scored a few things from the buy 1 get 1 free area, very happy about that.
Tuesday we got to hang out with Lorraine more. She came up and we went to lunch at Paul's work and then came back to the house and played with Caitlin. Caitlin loves her Grandma so of course she was inseparable and loved having her here. We went to dinner that night with Mike and Jenna at Blue Lemon and then came back to our house to talk and hang out and eat dessert. Glad we got to see Lorraine even if it was only for a short time!
Wednesday i had a meeting for church in the morning... I am now working with the Young Women ages 12-13 in the ward and it's really fun. Definitely a change from working with the 3 year olds before! I am loving getting to know the girls and going to activities on Tuesday nights and teaching lessons. It's a lot more time consuming but we have really great youth in our ward and they are all so fun and cute. Plus i'm finding great babysitters for Caitlin!
Thursday (today) we haven't done anything. Caitlin is sounded a little raspy/wheezy and was coughing this morning and acting whiny so i'm praying she doesn't get sick... so much is going around right now. It snowed a little last night so it's just too cold outside so we are hanging out indoors (yes, i'll blame the snow instead of blaming the fact that i have also not gotten ready for the day at all). Hopefully a good nap will cure my little love bug also. However, I would like to say "Happy Groundhogs Day" if anyone out there is still a believer in Punxsutawney Phil: he saw his shadow. Which could mean anything.
