weekend review > end of March

(3.27) Jamie Hansen threw Nick a surprise SNL birthday party. People came dressed as their favorite SNL characters and it was hilarious. Nick was definitely surprised which was awesome. We ate and did skits and played Jeopardy about Nick's life and then watched a bunch of the skits that people had dressed up as. Paul and I borrowed costumes from a friend's friend and went as the Spartan cheerleaders.
(3.28) We had a play date at the mall with Tiffany Barnes, Heather Pack and Lindsay Owen (and obviously all the kids). London and Caitlin kept calling each other Elsa and Anna and then we had a little lunch together.

(3.29) Paul went to Moab for the weekend on a guys trip. He and 7 other guys rock climbed and swung through the corona arch (as seen on youtube videos like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvc1HIjHP2Y ) It was a good way to give your wife a heart attack but proved to be really fun for all the guys. I only have video of Paul doing it, both from far away and with him holding the go pro and I have to admit it looked really cool. After that they went 4 wheeling.
While the boys were gone Missy and I took our kids to see the Mr. Peabody movie. The plot was way over my kids head but they enjoyed it, and so did I.

(3.31) My kids started swim lessons! They will go M-Th for 3 weeks and they each get a 10 minute one on one lesson. The pool is indoors and they have been really excited about it. Each of them did great their first day! Both were excited to get in the water and get swimming. They both got nervous (to the point of tears) to lay on their backs and float but overall they did really well. I'm excited to see their progress over the next few weeks! And excited for swimming season!
(3.31) We visited the brand new aquarium with Missy and Tiffany. It just opened a week ago and they are still waiting on quite a few animals to arrive but we had fun seeing what they did have. They have a whole jungle area that feels like a jungle, humid and hot, and there are a bunch of jungle plants growing and they even have a rope bridge you can walk across. They also have a shark tunnel to walk through and penguins! My kids loved it and I as so relieved that Nolan was willing to stay in his stroller for the most part because it was crowded and I did not have the energy to chase him around everywhere! I'm sure we will be going back often!
