5.10.14 Caitlin's dance recital

Saturday was Caitlin's dance recital. It was a long and busy day but it really was a dream. Watching Caitlin dance and do something she really loves is such a thrill. I always get emotional that she is this big and doing things on her own and growing up.

It was a really special day and you could tell she had the BEST day being in her long-anticipated recital and being the center of attention. She LOVED getting to wear make up and told everyone that she was wearing it. She also loved her gloves and the sparkles on her tutu. She even told me "I feel like a star." She shined and lived up to it in every way... I'm constantly impressed by her excitement for life and energy and her confidence. Never once did she show any signs of nervousness or fear, she was so excited to whole time to be on the stage and perform. When she first came out and it got quite Paul yelled "Go Caitlin!" and she waved out into the crowd. Her song was "Love is an Open Door" from Frozen so she was dressed as the character Anna and had "Anna braids" in her hair. She did a great job on stage with her dance and most of all had a lot of fun. She loved getting flowers afterward and seeing all her supporters. I'm so proud to be raising such a confident and exuberant little girl.
