Meet my sweet children...

Caitlin is always up to something. yesterday it was climbing into the washer while i was doing laundry and moving side to side to make it spin with her in it. (Does it make me a bad mom that i let this happen for 5+ minutes AND took pictures and video because i thought it was funny?? Wait don't answer that.)

And little Nolan apparently has a wild streak too. My mother-in-law took this picture with her camera phone and she said he was making the sweetest face and then she took the picture and there is a delay so by the time it took she got this:

 I laughed so hard. But he isn't really like that, so I have to redeem him by posting this cute one of him smiling:

BTW... we had a really fun Memorial Day. We slept in and then got up and made a plan for the rest of the day and actually stuck to it and did it all and had so much fun as a family. We met up with Trent and Lauren and Cassie and the boys biked up Provo Canyon while the girls went and got lunch and then got a picnic ready at Vivian Park. We all ate and played and then we went and met up with the Trunbulls at the pool. Our first swim of the season! The weather and water were actually both quite delightful so it was super fun. Caitlin didn't want to leave but then we went and got snowcones and then headed home to get ready for dinner at our neighbor's house. We enjoyed a yummy dutch oven dinner with them and then came home and had a few more people over to watch The Bachelorette. We played "Bachelorette Bingo" while we watched and made a cobbler for dessert. Such a great day!

So since Caitlin didn't want to leave the swimming pool it was a fight to get her changed but we needed her back in a diaper so we did that then just stuck a shirt on her. Her hair is in the total orphan stage, especially after just being wet and drying funny on its own so while she was going to town on her baby snowcone and standing in front of Paul's truck pantless and messy and orphaned looking i couldn't help but think how white trash we must have looked. So i took some pictures to laugh about:

Caitlin's "nigh nigh" by the numbers:

1 sippy cup of milk

3 blankets (small, medium, large)

2 binkies

1 "RAR"(lion stuffed animal)

2 babies

1 "woof woof" (pink poodle stuffed animal)

1-2 book readings (usually Spot)

3-5 songs (lately it's been "how much is that doggy in the window?" about 4 times)

Get through all of that and she sleeps like a champ:

She loves water. And apparently it doesn't matter how cold. Paul has been testing the sprinklers and she saw them on and decided to go plop down next to them. My personal favorite was when she first walked over and did a low squat over the top. And yes, she was still in her jammies that she had worn all day so she must have needed a little freshening up!

We spent last weekend celebrating Cassie's 20th birthday. Saturday night we hit up the big party at her place. It was Caitlin's first college party and we were happy to be there for at least a little while... until the older-than-everyone-pregnant-with-a-baby made an early escape around 9 PM-- and everyone was just getting started! We love Cassie! (or sza-sza as Caitlin calls her)

New hairstyle alert! She's rockin' the ponytail with headband duo and looks adorable. I also think it makes her look so much older.. which makes me sad. I tell her to stop growing up but "no no no" is her favorite word right now and she's always been a stubborn one. Love my little/big girl.

She conquered a fear this week.. the bath tub. Amazing what a non-slip Winnie the Pooh mat and some bath toys can do. So glad that bath time seems to be back and it doesn't have to always be mommy-and-me shower time. Although we may have created a monster... she climbs in all the time and requests baths at least a few times a day.

Made home made play dough the other day and it kept her attention for about 10 minutes (knew i should have added sparkles). But it was cute to watch her play with it, and i deemed it a success because she didn't even eat any of it.

on wednesday, i dropped Caitlin off at a friend's house to play while i went to my church meeting and while i was there i got this text:

"hi mom"

haha so cute! I was cracking up. So my friend totally put her hair in curlers and by the time i was back they were ready to come out and i got to enjoy this little curly-headed cherub for the rest of the day. So precious!! (I'm totally buying sponge rollers ASAP)
