February 24th
I LOVE our new bed! We bought it awhile ago and just went to pick it up yesterday to be ready to move it in. We decided to get a king size, we've had a queen until now. I've been wanting this bed for a long time, think it's so beautiful and unique.. Now I can't wait to sleep in it!
February 23rd
I LOVE things that smell good. I love either citrus scents or sweet scents. For Christmas I got the "skinny dippin" cubes for my scenery and it is so delicious!!
Saying goodbye
I can't believe it but moving day is almost here and boxes are being packed. As I prepare to leave our little townhouse it's definitely not as easy as I thought it would be. This place has really become our HOME after living here for 3.5 years, our whole married life. I'm so excited to be moving on but also very sad to be leaving our precious pioneer village townhouse #8 behind. Paul and I were talking about some of the incredible things that have happened in this house or associated with this house and I wanted to write some down so I won't forget:
-we moved up to provo about a month after we were married with a trailer filled with everything. We drove the long 29 hours and arrived late at night. We had made plans to stay somewhere else but we were too excited about our new place so we decided to just come here. It was august and the power had not been turned on yet so it was pretty stifling but we dragged out our mattress and put in in the family room and crashed.
-the best thing without a doubt about living here has been the amazing people we have been able to surround ourselves and associate with. We have absolutely loved living so close to so many amazing friends and family awns that is definitely the thing I will miss the most. We have seen a lot of couples come and go but we have made such good memories and lasting friendships. We loved living by jeff and Melissa when we first moved here and hanging out with thhem literally every day. We have loved living by such close friends after them like the Barnes, the Owens, the Taylors, the Packs. There is always someone (or a lot of someones) to hang out with and talk to. I love that half my neighbors have a spare key to my house and sew all just come and go and borrow zas we please. I am positive I will never have as many awesome neighbors at one time as I have here, they have all blessed our lives in amazing and individual ways.
-another thing we've done a lot here is PARTY! we have had so many parties and fit way too many people into this tiny place. From Halloween to cinco de mayo to college sports to birthdays: any excuse for a party! I can't believe how many people we've crammed into this
place.
-Paul spent countless hours in our bedroom after he broke his back. This is where he recovered and was cared for and it was such great location to be close to his doctor. That wwas truly a life changing event for both of us.
-our good friend Chase Coleman opened his mission call here! I remember being so excited that he would want to come here to open it. I am so proud of him for serving a mission and servi the people of panama.
-I will definitely never forget the day that I was shocked to find out I was pregnant and then Paul and I went and sat in our bed for a long time and had a talk about our future and plans and what this news meant for us, where we both cried a lot of tears of joy.
- this is where mike and Jenna had their first date making pizzas and then where they got engaged a few months later! What an exciting time. It was so fun helping to set up their engagement and having our house be such a big part of it.
-bringing Caitlin home from the hospital to this house was a very emotional experience for me. I just love her little room and I couldn't wait to show her. I started crying as I stood with my new little baby in my arms in her room that I had been preparing for her for months. I couldn't believe the time had finally come. She has continued to bring a light to our home with her sweet spirit, which I know won't change no matter where we live
- we have had an amazing ward while living here. We have been going to a married student ward and I am really going to miss going to church where everyone is about the same age and at similar stages in life. We have been truly blessed as both Paul and I have had opportunities to learn and grow through serving in our ward. We have been blessed with amazing friends and a wonderful bishop.
- we have loved having tons of visitors throughout our time here (something that I hope won't stop!) and thank goodness they have all been gracious enough to sleep on a blow up mattress or couch!

Powerless
Due to a miscommunication, provo power decided to shut us off today. We lost power at about 9:30am and it is now 2:48pm and still no power (I'm on paul's iPad right now). So I've been stuck waiting for the power guy to come restate our power with a sick baby and no heat and still trying to pack up whatever I can so I'm down to the bare necessities. Interesting day. This is making out to be a pretty frantic week!
February 22nd
I LOVE the colors purple and yellow. They're my fave. Purple has just always been my favorite color since i was little. I knew that i always wanted purple to be my wedding color and i was so nervous that my future husband wouldn't let me but luckily i married Paul and he is color blind so it just looks like blue to him. perfect! Yellow is my second favorite because it's so happy.

monster truck madness
Friday night (2.18) we went with Morgan and Whitney to the Monster Truck Rally! It was my first time to go to one and i loved it! It was really fun. Paul and I decided to "dress the part" and on the way there i discovered my $5 acid ash jeans from DI had large holes on the inside of both of my thighs. legs together! The trucks were SO loud i couldn't believe it. They really looked like toy cars out there, doing wheelies and bouncing around. I would actually really like to ride in one, but never drive one. We saw the likes of: The bounty hunter, El toro loco, and of course, grave digger. During the intermission the had a few guys on snowmobiles doing tricks riding in the dirt! That was surprising/impressive. We had a great time people watching and monster truck admiring.
February 21st
since today is president's day, i thought it would be appropriate to say, i LOVE America! I love being American and the amazing country we have to live in. It's the best. We have so many freedoms and opportunities here that many other countries do not offer. I love going other places but I'm always glad to come home.
February 20th
i LOVE kid's books. I'm a little bit obsessed with them right now, I've been looking at little books wherever i go to get for Caitlin. She is starting to get into books-- learning how to turn pages and stuff and it's so cute i love it. I loved reading from an early age when i was little and still enjoy reading (when i can) today.
pizza & minute to win it
On 2.15 while my parents were here, we had a pizza + minute to win it game party with cousins and relatives. It was really fun to get a bunch of us together and of course minute to win it games always keep people laughing. I'm not gonna lie.. I don't think many of us would stand a chance on the show. Better keep practicing!

February 19th
i LOVE being organized. Luckily both Paul and i are very tidy people. I love knowing that everything has it's place... another reason why i'm so excited for our move so i don't have to feel like we're bursting at the seams anymore.
February 18th
obvious, but: i LOVE taking pictures. i wish i was a better photographer but i love documenting everything and being able to see my memories.

Foto Friday
Caitlin and I are not quite feeling like ourselves: fever, stuffy nose, cough, eye infection, sore, tired, runny nose (between the 2 of us) looks like we'll be laying low for a little while, hopefully it won't last too long!
February 17th
i LOVE holidays and really anything with a theme. I love dressing up and/or decorating to a theme. I also love throwing parties and of course having a theme and decorations to them. It's really fun for me to get little gifts or put up decorations or find perfect little things to fit into a theme and share them with people.

v day is for lovers
This is how my Valentine's day went:
-breakfast in bed
-hanging out with my littlest love bug
-Valentine's surprises for both of us.. flowers and balloons
-skiing at Alta with Paul, my dad and Chelsea. (My mom was nice enough to babysit all day)
-Paul cooked me a delicious dinner
-went to "Color me Mine" with Mike and Jenna and had a really fun time. We made a cute little plaque with Caitlin's footprints on it.
-Went home and had dessert
It was a really great Valentine's day, nothing better than hanging out with my family and my loves all day!
February 16th
i LOVE fry sauce. It's honestly one of my favorite things about Utah, because you just don't find it many other places as readily available. Anyone who doesn't have it offered with their fries is missing out! so so yummy!
February 15th
i LOVE BYU..my alma mater. It was the perfect school for me to go to. i love the traditions, the friends i made, the experiences i had, and (most) of the classes i took. go cougs!
Happy Valentine's Day!
i LOVE my husband. He truly is one of the greatest people i know and he inspires me to be better everyday. Since it's the 14th, i'll limit myself to only 14 (of the MANY) things i love about him:
1. He is sweet
2. He honors his priesthood
3. He is very supportive of me
4. He is an awesome dad
5. He is a super hard worker
6. He is creative (he's always making up fun ideas of games or things to do)
7. He is funny and always makes me laugh
8. He is very determined (when he says he's going to do something.. he does it)
9. He is very attentive
10. He is all about having fun
11. He is athletic
12. He is really good with words and giving compliments
13. He's a hottie
14. He's my soulmate
I love him so much!
Happy day of LOVE!
February 13th
i LOVE The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love being mormon and knowing what i believe. The gospel is an amazing anchor and support in my life everyday.
Saturday
Saturday (2.12) we went for a picnic in the park. We grabbed J Dawgs and met up with Tingeys and Mike and Jenna to enjoy the wonderful weather! I feel like the groundhog is right... spring is just around the corner!
My parents got into town that evening to come visit for a little while. A always, we're excited to have them around for a little while! My dad came to do some skiing so hopefully i'll get to go up too. I've actually been really lucky this season to get to go a few times already. I didn't think i would get to but i've had great babysitters and it feels good to gt back up on the mountain (especially since i didn't get to go at all last year)!

i LOVE football! It is definitely my favorite sport. even though i've never played it on a team, i still love to watch it. Let's face it, i'm more of a watcher when it comes to sports anyways. And football's the fave. I love the time of year of the season it's in, and i love going to games.

Caitlin has become quite the daddy's girl lately. She's still happy with me during the day but she just lights up whenever Paul is around. She always gives him her best smiles. It makes me so happy because Paul is so cute with her.
February 11th
i LOVE Rascal Flatts. They are definitely my favorite band. Their songs make me so happy and they are such good singers!

February 10th
i LOVE bargain shopping. I love being able to find something for a good deal. I don't mind going to places where you have to pick through things to find a real gem. I love going to antique stores. And also just getting a good deal using coupons and stuff... it gives me so much satisfaction!
February 9th
i LOVE oatmeal. I eat it pretty much every day for breakfast and i never get tired of it. You can mix it with so many things, my favorites being: apples and cinnamon or fresh strawberries, or if i had a sweet tooth: chocolate and butterscotch chips (ok so maybe that defeats the purpose of a healthy oatmeal breakfast) love it. Also, have you tried the new McDonald's oatmeal?! It's actually really good, the oats are nice and plump and the fruit they put in is way good. Also, if you haven't tried the Quaker Oatmeal square cereal.. do it! they are so so good.

i LOVE interior design. which is probably why i picked it as a profession. Right now since i'm not working my head is spinning with ideas for OUR new house and i can't wait to move in!
San Diego
Paul attended a convention in San Diego, California last week so Caitlin and I jumped at the chance to come down and meet him for the weekend. Missy also came with the boys and it was so fun having a little trip with the Turnbulls. We enjoyed the beautiful weather, hot tubbing almost every night, fun-filled jam-packed days and most of all, each other's company.
Thursday (2.3) we went to the San Diego zoo after Paul and Taylor had finished up at their convention. We got there around 3 PM not realizing that the zoo closes at 5 PM! So we had a mad-dash zoo experience, running around so we could see everything we wanted to. It was actually really fun and we still got to see pretty much everything. We saw the elephants, rhinoceros, bears, a gorilla (it walked right up to the glass and totally scared me! I literally screamed and looked away.) a panda, camels, giraffes, and the boys saw the tiger (they had to climb up on the fence to see it because it was already put away for the night). We saw some other animals too and had a great time. The kids loved all the the animals. After the zoo we went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner.
Friday we visited Coronado Island (i'm not sure of it's actually an island) and found a 100+ year old hotel to stay in, which was an adventure. Then we got lunch and headed to the beach. That area is so beautiful, lots of old houses and buildings and beautiful scenery. Caitlin was asleep for the first little bit and then woke up to enjoy the beach. She loved it! This little girl loves being outside in the sunshine. She liked sinking her feet in the sand and looking around. Towards the end it was getting a little cold and windy so she had a melt down but the actual beach time was good. It was really fun to take her and she looked so darling in her new little ballerina swimsuit! That night we walked around town a little then went to dinner.
Saturday we went to Sea World! It as so much fun. We went to three shows and lots of exhibits. The kids all loved it. We saw Shamu, sea lions, dolphins, birds an pilot whales in the shows and sharks, fish, polar bears, turtles, beluga whales, and a few others in the exhibits. This day was the warmest and it felt so good to be outside in it. Taylor and Missy both literally got attacked my seagulls during lunch.. they were fearless! The kids saw things they had never seen before and were all bewildered and very tired by the end of the day. That evening Turnbulls started heading back (driving) to Utah and we switched hotels to downtown, closer to the airport. That night we went to Roy's for dinner and it was so delicious. Our food was fantastic, but the chocolate souflee -- heavenly. On our way back from the restaurant we rode in one of those bike-pulled carts. Paul really wanted to so we found one and the guy that took us was really funny... VERY talkative and breaking all kinds of traffic rules as he was telling us how strict they are with tickets.
Sunday was a long, but turned into a fun, day. Originally we were supposed to fly out of San Diego at 9 AM, short layover in Phoenix, and be home by 2 PM. We got to the airport with more than enough time to find that because of fog, our flight was delayed. It ended up being delayed about 1.5 hours, and we completely missed our flight out of Phoenix. Obviously we had to catch a later flight so we decided to make the most of it and not leave Phoenix til 7 PM that night so we could go hang out with Jeff, Melissa and Madison during the day. And then we were so lucky because it just so happened that Lorraine and Rebekah were there visiting too! They were nice enough to come pick us up from the airport then we got to have dinner and hang out with them and even watch the first half of the super bowl before going back to the airport. It was so fun to see all of them, I'm so glad our crazy flight schedule worked out for the best! We got home around 10 PM.
It was a really great trip, the perfect getaway. I'm so glad we got to go, although it definitely made me anxious for warm weather to come!

i LOVE eating soup on a cold, rainy day. i LOVE listening to the sound of rain outside and being cuddled in a warm blanket. yup, think i'll do that.
February 6th
i LOVE orange tic tacs. If you ask me what my favorite food is i would say "chocolate and orange tic tacs"... not together, just evenly. I eat them like candy and i can seriously down a little box in about 3 minutes without even realizing. The other day Paul ran in the store to grab something and came out with that and some orange tic tacs for me. he knows me too well. love him.

I LOVE The Bachelor. Not Brad specifically, but the show. I love the drama, and I'm not afraid to admit it.

I LOVE to travel! Exploring new places and seeing new things. I love to travel to visit people or travel to visit a new place. I'll take it all. I'm so glad that i was able to ravel so much growing up and go to such fun places because it really instilled in me a love for other places, countries and cultures.
February 3rd
I LOVE Kashi Go Lean Crunch bars. I get them at Costco and they are the perfect snack. My favorite is the Caramel/Chocolate one because it has caramel popcorn in it with the chocolate. I don't know exactly how healthy they are, but they sure taste a ton better than other meal replacement bars. So delish!

I LOVE getting Caitlin up in the morning. She is always so happy and just acts so tickled that someone would come in to get her. Sometimes it's hard for me to wake up when i hear her talking in her crib (i am NOT a morning person) but then i get so excited to see her little smiling face that it makes it a little easier to get out of bed.
Here's a video we took the other morning (Jan. 25th) of waking her up. Don't mind my nasty morning look. Just look at how cute she is:

February 1st
For the month of February, I've decided to write each day about something I LOVE. Some will be big things, some small, some obvious, and in no particular order but all things that I LOVE nonetheless. Happy month of LOVE!
We'll start with a biggie: I LOVE my family. So much. I love the family I grew up with and also the family i married into. I'm so lucky that i have such an awesome family and also such an awesome in-law family. I could not ask for better support, friendships and love. I have amazing parents, parents in-law, sisters, sisters-in law that are like real sisters to me, and brothers too! And now a niece and a nephew! I am so grateful that i have the opportunity to be with my family forever.
she stands!
Yesterday (1.30) after Caitlin's nap we put her standing up in her crib and she held on and stood there for about 20 seconds! I've put her up to a few other things around the house and she can stand by herself for a few seconds. (P.S. I think she looks so much like Paul in this picture)
she rolls!
Caitlin rolled over for the first time back in November and was doing it sporadically until this past month when she does it a lot more often and can roll both ways. But, I've never been able to really get it on camera. So this time i decided to just set the camera up until she did it. It took a while (hence the long clip) and it's a pretty weak roll, but you can get the idea.
