Happy Father's Day

I had the unique pleasure of actually being with my dad, my grandpa and my father-in-law on Father's day. that hasn't happened for awhile!
My dad is the perfect father to his daughters.. always so kind and thoughtful an awesome priesthood leader. My grandpa always gives me a hard time but he is hilarious and i know it's because i'm his favorite grandkid ;)
My father-in-law is also always so kind to me and is an excellent father to his kids and to me.
And last but not least Paul, the future father to our kiddos. I love him and i can't wait to see him in action one day. He has great role models!

..and we're back

We are officially back from our trip to Texas. It all went by WAY too fast but we had so much fun! pictures soon!

...DAYS UNTIL WE LEAVE FOR OUR TEXAS VACATION! I'M SO EXCITED I CAN'T STAND IT!!!

goodbye, farewell

My cousin Justin is going on his mission to the Atlanta Georgia North mission. He goes into the MTC July 1st. Today we went to his farewell and he did a great job speaking. Then we went back to their house for a luncheon. It was fun being with family. I'm so excited for Justin. He is going to be a great missionary!

boating

YAY!! My first time boating of the summer. I have really been missing the Texas heat, my pool, and being at the lake so far this summer (the torrential downpours sure aren't helping with this) but Clay and Tiffany were nice enough to take us out on the boat with them and Jason and it was SO fun! and actually decent weather. We all wakeboarded, with the exception of poor Tiffany who had to sit and watch because she has a baby in her tummy! The boys rocked it out there on the wakeboard so at least we all got a good show! I didn't do anything fancy but I have to admit.. I was a pretty sore the next day!

fun saturday

Went to a few houses in the Utah Valley Parade of homes. As always, it made me want a house REALLY bad.
Hung out with Clay and Tiffany:
Went to Guru's for dinner, chowed down on sweet potato fries. DELISH.

Went fishing by Utah Lake where it was quite windy and infested by mosquitoes. Didn't catch anything but had fun nonetheless. I definitely earned the award for WORST fisherman after losing probably 6 hooks to the trees or bottom. Whitney is back!! She and Morgan came over for a little bit and brought us Jordanian souvenirs. I'm glad she is safe and sound back in the U S of A and ready for the wedding!!

We then proceeded to clean out our earwax! We got the little stick things from Good Earth and you light them on fire then they burn down and somehow while they are burning they pull all the earwax in your ear from like back when you were 7 years old. After they burn down you unroll them and see what you got. SO gross but so funny, and happy to know that's all outta my system!

Young Wedding

summer weddings. I love them. I love going to weddings #1 because it reminds me of my own and #2 i love everything about weddings.. the flowers, the dress, the cake, the food, the happy couple. On Saturday we had the chance to go up to Logan with Taylor and Missy and Allah (another mission companion) for Steve and Jayme Young's wedding. It was a long drive but a really fun and full day. Steve and Paul were mission companions and he is such a nice guy, and his new wife is so sweet as well. We went to their sealing at the Logan temple which is SO beautiful and unique I absolutely loved it.We had some time to kill in between the temple and the dinner so we got some lunch and set out to explore the Logan/Wellsville area. We took pictures and hit some golf balls out in the beautiful mountains.

grape + fruit

They sell the best grapefruits ever at Buy Low in Provo. We went there recently and were amazed at the size of these things! They are literally the size of cantaloupes and they are SO SO yummy on the inside. So, if you are in need of great grapefruits, go to Buy Low!
p.s. in french, the word for grapefruit is my favorite word to say: pomplemousse! so fun.
